Professor David Dunaway is a renowned Consultant Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon who was awarded a CBE (Commander of the Order of the British Empire) in the Queen’s Birthday Honours.
He received the prestigious honour in recognition of his outstanding services to facial surgery. Professor Dunaway is the Head of the Craniofacial Unit at Great Ormond Street Hospital in London and a Trustee of Facing Africa. He is particularly celebrated for his pioneering work on complex craniofacial deformities and for leading historic surgical procedures, including the separation of craniopagus (conjoined) twins.
